SPORTS SYNTHESIS
After
the Targa, in which the Siffert-Redman duo won with a 908/03, they
repeat the win, only this time aboard a 917.

laps at an average speed of 149.415 mph (240.41 km/h) including rain and pit
stops was Jo Siffert and Brian Redman’s record.
Pedro Rodriguez classified at 157,862 mph (254,16 km/h) and made its fastest lap at 160,513 mph (258.43 km/h), 14 seconds faster that the record established in Spa in F1 and 3 seconds faster than the pole position time. Rodriguez-Kinnunen abandoned with a broken gearbox.
